There might be a simple answer to this, but I haven't found it yet.
I have an image uploaded into my Dashboard. In Edit Media, I'm trying to crop it. I see the crop tool. I adjust the image accordingly. I click on Save below the image, but nothing happens.
I have the circle selected to apply changes to All image sizes.
Also tried clicking Update Image, but still no change to the image. Thanks in advance for any assistance. (I'm new to this.)

Have you tried:
- deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
- switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

Thanks, Shane G. I looked at those cropping plugins, but both seemed to have negative comments, so I'm hesitant to download. Besides, this is a basic function that shouldn't require a plugin. Most camera phones can even crop a photo.
Esmi -- I switched to the default theme. Still can't crop an image. I have no plugins, so I couldn't deactivate any.

Uh, yeah...
I do everything as it appears I should. I click save and nothing happens. I then reload the page or a different page and the image totally reverts. If cropping requires a plugin, why is it on the media menu?

Hi, Having the same problem. Does this work for other people? For me, the Save button under the image is inactive.

Hi.
To crop an image you actually have to click the Crop-Icon after setting the area you want to crop.
After this you should see your image has been cropped and you should be able to save!
