Can't copy site

    I made a template site that I wan to clone:

    http://template.mesalabs.com/

    But when I try to clone it, the resulting site is blank:

    http://dialyguard.mesalabs.com/

    It’s weird because it works with other sites I made and I didn’t do anything differently this time. Here is the detailed log:

    That is a bit strange! Is the template site a clone itself? So that the site that isn’t working is a clone of a clone? Sometimes that can introduce some weirdness.

    Looking at the log though everything looks OK. When a site is blank it can sometimes mean that the theme needs to be jogged. Can you try going into the new blank site’s admin dashboard, change the theme, change it back to the one you want, and save? That would be the first thing I’d try.

    Otherwise scratching my head to think of what else it could be. Let us know if the theme trick worked!

    I tried switching the theme but can’t even get to the dashboard for that site. Same thing. Blank page. So then, I went to the settings and tried to enable 2012 theme but that didn’t do anything either.

    The site that doesn’t work is not a clone of a clone. I built it from scratch on Multisite.

    The strange thing is I am able to clone two other sites I built exactly the same way:

    I don’t think I did anything differently on the one that won’t work so I’m at a loss for what the problem could be. Any other ideas?

    Bizarre! Have you double-checked in your raw db _options table the site and home URL values? It’s acting a little like a site that was cloned with domain mapping turned on, but you’re not using domain mapping right?

    Maybe check your site and home URLs in the wp_options table for that broken site. With the dashboard not working it sounds like WP can’t redirect to it for some reason.
