Can't comment even though comment box is ticked

    Hi,

    I turned off all comments on my site http://www.cadv.nl except for on the blog. But now the comment function is lost on the posts even though I ticked the box for allowing comments and discussions in the screen options… I have been able to manage to turn the comment function on for the individual posts, but I would like to do it via the check box.
    I am using the suffusion theme.
    Any help would be more than welcome!

    I ticked the box for allowing comments and discussions in the screen options..

    this does not influence the comments directly; it only opens a ‘discussion’ field below the post editor where you can allow comments.

    you could also try it for each post via:
    dashboard – posts – all posts – click quickedit below the post’s title – tick ‘allow comments’
