   I just got my site up and running but can't seem to change themes. Default and classic work. I followed the steps (save - unzip - ftp-upload) but when I click the theme in the wp-admin area to preview it, it shows a blank screen and it does not activate when i click the activate button.

   Does anyone know why?

   please upgrade your wordpress version to 3.2.1.

   most newer free available themes are unlikely to work with an ancient wordpress version.
