   when i try and change the header from the wordpress page for the default theme, i browse for my picture and click upload and instead of taking me to
   'http://drlizmd.com//wp-admin/themes.php?page=custom-header&step=2'
   it tries to take me here:
   'http://wp-admin/themes.php?page=custom-header&step=2'

   any suggestions?
   wordpress has been trouble executing actions that involve multiple steps all over, so its not just centralized to this one instance.

   That is an incorrect URL to begin with. But I understand what you're referring to. Can you tell us what theme you are currently using so we can help?

   Twenty Ten 1.1 is the theme.

   that address is the way my pages show up sometimes with // after the root

   I fixed the issue by changing the address in of my blog in the Dashboard from
   "http://drlizmd.com/" to http://drlizmd.com"

   and that fixed it
