Social Stickers
[resolved] Can't change Icon sizes (11 posts)

    Hi!

After the awesome experience I had adding Social Stickers on my friend's WP site, I wanted to add them to my own... but to my surprise, when I first installed the plugin, I couldn't change the image sizes for the icons.

It displays the option, and I'm allowed to choose and save it. But even if it's 32x32, the end result will display a far larger image on my page :(

I will be using static HTML code in the meantime, so there's no big rush... but whenever there's a chance, I'd love to implement it :)

    Thanks!

    Which browser are you using?

    Chrome 26, in OSX 10.6.1

    It works fine in Safari.

Oddly, it started working just fine for a few minutes, so I added the widget, and it still looked ok. But then, I added "text-align: right;" to my widget class (to completely align it right on my header), and the pictures went large again. Only in Chrome. Safari works.

I'm also testing with a shortcode, and noticed that if I have the widget removed, the shortcode pictures looks in the proper size. Only when I add the Social Stickers widget is that both the widget and shortcode version look oversized.

Let me include the test URL in case it helps:

On my side, I'll check if some of the CSS I added is at fault.

    Thanks for your help!

Update: I thought it was related to using the widget, but I've been noticing it's entirely random, either with or without widget, with or without shortcodes...

If there's anything I can do to give you the information you need, please let me know.

Nothing changed between one shot and the other... just refreshed a few times.

I compared the code between both situations, and found out that width="32px" height="32px" is not always being outputted. Maybe I could do a temporary fix by resizing the image files to 32x32.

Are you using a custom layout (advanced tab in advanced view of settings)?

No, nothing custom yet. Advanced mode is turned off as a matter of fact, but I do plan to activate it to add the counters once I figure out the size issue.

Sorry for taking so long. Still the same, but don't worry, I'll re-upload the images I resized to 32x32. It's been a good workaround so far.

If it's a tough find, maybe you could just use 32x32 images when that size is selected, instead of having the code resize them. Not ideal, I know...
