Can't Change Categories (4 posts)

Sorry, I just realized that it said this issue was resolved in the post I previously linked to, but it's not resolved.

I'm using WP2 (latest release) and when I create a page, it doesn't give me the option to select a category - doesn't show the categories at all, not hidden, not anything (like in the dropdown + if I go to write a post) so all the pages I've created (not at my website) have a default category of General. It doesn't show the categories dropdown at all in the list when I go to Write Page or Create New Page.

Can someone tell me how to modify this? I don't want all the pages showing up in one category.

    Thanks very much.

  2. As Microsoft like to say in their support articles, "This behaviour is by design".

Pages are not designed to have categories assigned to them.

A quick search turned up this plugin, which might assist. Haven't tried it or looked at it in any detail, though.

Thanks very much, LesBessant - you're always so helpful. I'm going to try it and see if that works. I'll let you know if it's good in case anybody else would like this option too.

Great news - that worked perfectly! Thanks so much Les, I can now categorize the pages appropriately.
