   Since I installed 2.8.4 I can no longer auto upgrade plugins. It stops after step 1 (downloading the plugin). Any idea why this is happening?

   Have you tried disabling (or removing totally) the plugin you mention on the other thread you just posted?

   yes, it was happening before I installed that plugin. could it be another plugin that's causing me to be unable to auto upgrade?

   Possible I suppose. If in doubt, de-activate your plugins. Not a bad rule of thumb to start your troubleshooting with!!
