Can’t add sites in 3.0

    Hi,
    I’ve upgraded to 3.0 today without any trouble. I created a new site, the site appeared in the list of sites but I checked the files via FTP only to find that nothing was actually created.
    I tried to visit the site I just created and all I saw was just a blank page. In the Admin page it still says ‘You have 1 site’ although there should be 2 sites.
    The first site I created before uploading works perfect.
    Any clues?? Thanks.

    I’m new at this, so you may want to wait until someone else replies.

    Have you made a blogs.dir folder in your wp-content/ folder?
    The blogs.dir are where the new blogs live and the path the admin would use to call them up.

    I don’t know the technical words to explain it right, but hopefully you’ll know what I mean.

    hey thanks for the reply.
    Yeah I made the folder. I used FTP to check the folder but it was empty.

    Anyone…? I totally have no clue.

    That folder will only contain uploaded files….if it’s empty it doesn’t mean the site wasn’t created.

    Problem resolved.

    Added the site and went to sleep for 5 hours and it appeared.
    I’m not sure if the lag is always there but we don’t have a lot of users so…happy ending?

    I know that this is resolved. But there isn’t really an answer here. I am having the same problem and while I understand i could just wait I would still like to know why i doesn’t work straight away… should it
