I can't add media, specifically pdf files. When I attempt to add the media from my database WordPress simply inserts the text. There is no live "link" to the actual pdf data file. Any suggestions?

Posted 6 months ago #Thank you for your post. I will certainly look at the info. The thing is that I was able to do this without issue, then seemingly all of a sudden I am not able to load pdfs. Was wondering if anyone else had the sam e issue. Using Theme 2010. Another issue was an automatic resizing of images posted on the site. This has been resolved but the inability to load media remains.

Have you tried:
- deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
- resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
- re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.
