I was self hosting, bought a VPS and moved it all over, everything is displayed fine, no errors, except when I add a new post, change a widget, add a widget, edit a post, ANYTHING, nothing is saved.
No error is displayed, I chmod'd the whole directory to 777, no difference, MySQL user has all privileges.
I am confused.

My apache error logs is full of "WordPress database error Table 'wp1_postmeta' is read only for query DELETE FROM wp1_postmeta WHERE meta_id = 139"
I'm assuming this is part of, if not the problem.
But I don't understand how it can be read only

Oh god, the answered just slapped me in the face.
I moved the database over through ftp, and never set the permissions.
Good to go.
