   I am unable to select a word in my blog post and create a link out of it. When I click the link button, the insert link box appears, but the screen goes gray and I am unable to select anything or type anything. Ultimately, I have to hit the back button and reload the post. 2.7.1 is installed. Any solutions??

   The screen is supposed to turn grey but you should see the page behind it. You can't key in a link? Have you disabled you plugins? Have you tried a different browser. Have you tried the default theme?

   Have you tried just viewing your blog in HTML? Maybe that'll just be easier.

   The screen goes gray, I see the page behind it, but there is no way to type in anything at all. Are you suggesting that I disable all plugins and try it again? I'll try Firefox, as I am currently using Safari. I don't use the default theme, I use a prophoto blog template. Thanks for the suggestions.

   Ok, so I tried it in Firefox and it works! Is there a solution for getting it to work in Safari? It used to work with Safari, but suddenly doesn't. Thanks!

   Welcome to the wild wonderful world of browsers! As for your question, I don't know. Is there a Safari user's forum.

   I have never been able to select all when in a text widget for deleting using IE7 and 8 and going back to WP 2.5 (?). I have to use back spacing. But it works fine in FF. Go figure.

   Switching to the default theme, just for a test, would rule out the problem being with the theme.

   I'm having the exact same problem. Haven't found a solution yet.
