Can't add images to Media Library (4 posts)

I can't add images to my Media Library. This is the message I'm getting:

The uploaded file could not be moved to /var/www/vhosts/warwickshirebig.org/httpdocs/wp/wp-content/uploads

I've no idea what this means. I did have a problem with the server initially, because I didn't have the necessary permissions to work on it from the Dashboard - only via FTP. However, this has now been largely fixed.

If I have to put images into the library via FTP, where is it located in the file structure?

    Thanks

Change the permissions on the wp-content directory to 766. If you still have problems, try 767 or 777. Once your uploads are working, change the permissions on wp-content back to 755 again and check that everything still works OK.

Thanks Esmi. Is that something I can do or does it have to be done at the server end?

You can do it. See the link above.
