cant add a side bar to full width front page (5 posts)

    Hi, Our site was built with a single column, full width format.

    I want to add a right side bar or even just a second column. My technical skills are limited, but I have spent a lot of time trying to sort this out. I need help or guidance, Please.

    Which theme are you using? From the CSS alone it looks like there's a fullwidth template. I gather there might also be a template with a sidebar. Try by going to the admin panel in the pages section, select the page you want the sidebar in, and see if in the drop-down list with the available templates for the page you can find one that might include a sidebar.

    Sorry, I'm using twenty twelve.
    The template is front page template and it is a fullwidth template. I tried the home page template and that left me with a header and no content. No side bar template available.

    I've opened 2012 and I find 2 templates. front-page.php has a sidebar. There's also a fullwidth template, but it's just an additional layout. You have the choice to apply the template you prefer.
