Just updated WP to 3.9 and updated a couple of plugins, now I cannot access /wp-admin. I get this error:

    “No data received
Unable to load the webpage because the server sent no data.
    Here are some suggestions:
    Reload this webpage later.”

    I have done the following:

    • Renamed plugins folder by ftp, still can’t log in
    • Renamed current theme, so as to default to default WP theme, stil cannot log in
    • Any suggestions? Thank you!

If you cannot reach the webpage (home page or any other) the server may be down. In that case, you should contact the server admin or wait some time.
If you installed/configured some security plugin there’s a change that it is blocking /wp-admin folder through .htaccess file

Just reloaded entire WP install from fresh besides /wp-content. Brand new .htaccess, no caching plugin, no security plugin writing to htaccess.

The site loads fine, just not /wp-admin or anything that calls for it, even though it is a fresh load. Woocommerce is trying to use wp-admin/wp-admin-ajax.php and can’t get to it, so the checkout page is not working currently.

I’ve contacted the host, waiting for his response now-

Deleted a line in the wp-config.php that referenced WP Supercache and the problem is solved. Even though I had deleted WP Supercache months ago, this line remained, but I have no idea why it started causing trouble today- but there it is.

I have had so many headaches with that plugin…..
