LibbyCCan anyone help please.
I have been trying with little success to set up my wordpress blog all week. Out of every 30 attempts to log in I might get in around ... 5 or so. When I do get in the dashboard hangs or is so slow I could probably give birth to a child in less time (that includes the gestation period).
Now when I do get in the media library tells me it is empty yet I already have photos uploaded on site. I have made no alterations to CSS and the only plug-in I activated I have deactivated to see if it helped - it didn't. I also removed most of the widgets with no change to performance.I have switched between Firefox and IE to no avail and I don't have time to schedule in the nervous breakdown I am about to attempt.
I am hosting my site on my own web server (or attempting to) and it loads without problems so I don't think the problem is there.

I would really appreciate any help or suggestions anyone might have. I am a near Luddite but can usually work my way through things so any suggestions need to be appropriate for a child of around the age of 4 to action.
