    Host's command line:

    [towncar]$ svn co http://svn.automattic.com/tags/2.3.3 .
svn: PROPFIND request failed on '/tags/2.3.3'
svn: PROPFIND of '/tags/2.3.3': 403 Forbidden
    (http://svn.automattic.com)

Also tried from local vista box using tortoiseSVN, with same results. also tried checking out from the trunk.

Must I get a subversion name/pwd from Matt et al. first? If so, that is not even mentioned in the documentation at http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Subversion
... an oversight I'd be happy to correct if this turns out to be the case. Peace.

I just connected via Tortoise as well and no problems here.

Holy crap, revision 7162. I'm way behind. Time to fire up Xampp.

Got it. It looks like I was missing a trailing slash at the end of the path in the example I copied over, so that was the difference. Not sure why that matters though.

Thanks for the verification; saved me from running down a few blind alleys. ~Jared
