• I’m trying to create a multi user site for my soccer club.

I installed wordpress 3.0 and followed the instructions to create a network and I think I did it correctly.

I can create new sites via Superadmin but when I try to access the admin account for the new sites I get the following error message:

    Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

You can see it here: http://broughtonravers.co.uk/u6/wp-login.php

Can anyone shed any light on what might be causing this?

    Many thanks!

Internal server errors are usually described in more detail in the server error log. If you have access to your server error log, generate the error again, note the date and time, then immediately check your server error log for anything useful. If you don’t have access to your server error log, ask your hosting provider to look for you.

If you didn’t do much other than install wordpress and add a few blogs, I would say it’s a problem with your host configuration especially when it comes to internal server errors it’s usually htaccess rules.

You didn;t say what kind of sites you picked – subfolders or subdomains?

If it was subdomains, then yes – you missed a huge step. It was in the Before you begin” section here:
