    Dear friends,

I’m using WP3.6 and NextGEN Gallery on my site.
Yesterday I updated NGG to version 2.0.7 and then a weird thing happened. Could not find any similar thread here, so here is my question:

At the main NGG config page I can see 3 links

    Welcome to NextGEN Gallery!
    At a Glance
    2574 Images
    54 Galleries
    3 Albums

When I try to navigate to the first link (Images), that is the page (http://<site name>/wp-admin/admin.php?page=nggallery-add-gallery), I get the message informing me that I don’t have a permission to access the page.

However, the Galleries and Albums links work correctly, as well as “Add Gallery/Images” link in the left panel (http://<site-name>/wp-admin/admin.php?page=ngg_addgallery), I can add images.

Is this the behaviour by design or is something wrong with my configuration? Before the update I had NGG 2.0.0 and I could access that page all right.

I have active WP SuperCache and Akismet plugins, the current theme is 2013, though it doesn’t seem to affect the problem.

Can someone please check the above mentioned link and tell if it works or not?

    Thank you!

Hi @andrew Zhezhera, @vasvaria – I’ve actually duplicated this issue and created an issue for the developers.

Just to confirm/clarify, though, you CAN access all NextGEN admin pages. You just need to access them from the menu under Gallery rather than using the links in that widget correct?

Hi @photocrati, you are right. It seems a little bit strange when some links don’t work the way they should.

PS. Just upgraded to 2.0.14, but the problem remained.

@andrew – One of the specific fixes released in version 2.0.17 was to correct this issue. Have you updated and still the problem occurring?

    Hi All!

I upgraded NextGen to the latest version but the problem is still the same. It says “No sufficient rights to view this page.”

Fortunately, under “Manage Galleries” menu, I can edit pictures without any problem.

    Bye

I have just newly installed the latest version and am facing this issue as well.

@vasvaria and @julieellam – You may need to clear your browser caches for this to resolve, but if that does not correct the issue for you please consider submitting a bug report here: http://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/

    Thanks!

    – Cais.

I upgraded to the latest version 2.0.17 but have the same issue as before. Tried to use different browsers with and without cache, all the same.

At last, after I have upgraded to the latest version (2.0.23) the problem disappeared.

    Thank you 🙂
