Can't access from outside (3 posts)

  1. They should be the same, and a URI is a URL, just different wording. Check the permissions on your files, they should be 755.

    URL - http://www.example.com/
    URI - http://www.example.com/archive.htm
    There is a difference between the two, and it centres around how a URI points to a specific resource.
    http://localhost/ is only good for you on your computer. If I try that address, it will look on MY computer for those links.

    On some servers in the opening phase when access is by IP before the dn propogates WP will not work at all.
