Can't access Dashboard (3 posts)

I'm running a number of sites on a Multi-site installation. I needed to change the url of one site to reflect a user name change. After I made the changes to the URL, I can now no longer access the site or site's dashboard by either logging in to that site or through the Super Admin site list.

Here's what I did to screw things up:

From the site list on the Super Admin screen, I selected "edit" for the site. I changed the URL there and saved. I was then able to get into the dashboard for the site and change it there. However, I can no longer access the site using any URL and can't access it through the Dashboard link for that site.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  2. Did you change the name to the same length? i.e. you changed foobar to foobaz?

    If not, that's why.

Welcome to the hell of data serialization.

    Grab this: http://interconnectit.com/124/search-and-replace-for-wordpress-databases/

Scan the tables for that site and replace OLDNAME with NEWNAME.

Make a backup first, of course.

Thanks Mika. I had no idea that would happen. I'll use the resource you linked.
