    01 February 2014

On 30 January 2014, my old host, LunarPages, removed Orstentype.com from WordPress. I had already switched to iPage, my new hosting company. LunarPages knows they were wrong in doing this and claim it was just a mistake.

Since 01-30-2014 I have not been able to access my dashboard, or anything associated with my blog. I couldn’t even access this forum. I had my site backed up regularly, but they are on line, and not on my computer. Can I get any of my backup copies so I can upload this data to my new host? I have only been with iPages for several weeks. Everyone had assured me that all had been transferred. HA!

My site represents three years of my life. I know you have millions of customers, but this one customer of yours is heart sick. How can I access my backup information. Is all lost?

WordPress will no longer let me log into anything and orstentype.com has been deleted.

This is an example of what I need to get my website back up. It is from The Happy BackUpWordPress Backup Emailing Robot.

Of course in retrospect I should have downloaded it, but I never imagined this would happen. I can’t access anything on WordPress. Nothing; I am locked out everywhere due to LunarPage’s mistakes. I can’t log into any forums or get anywhere except the main WordPress page. I made up an ID in order to post this.

How can I get a copy of the information below? It is the only thing that can save me unless you know of something else. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks so much; my original e-mail to you is at the bottom…Kathy PS…I realize no one can imagine how important this is to me. I am a nervous wreck!!!

BackUpWordPress has completed a backup of your site http://orstentype.com.

Unfortunately the backup file was too large to attach to this email.

You can download the backup file by clicking the link below:

    Hi

sorry to hear about your issue, have you tried connecting to your hosting via FTP? You should be able to find the backup files under wp-content/backupwordpress-nnnnn-backups

    Hi Paul,

I used this forum aa a last resort only. LunarPages and iPages say this is an unprecedented event. LOL. I was in a conference call for an hour with both companies yesterday, and when I tell you I have exhausted all potential areas, please believe me. I even had my ISP look through his web archive. Ipages does NOT have any backup information on orstentype.com. Since LunarPages changed the DNS information back and forth, no one has anything.

Now are you telling me that you also don’t have any backup data? I didn’t delete the data from WordPress, so where did it go? How can it just disappear? I agree that I erred in not downloading it, but does that mean it’s now destroyed?

Please explain to me how you could delete something so recent? This backup was from 7 days ago. Thanks…Kathy (Still Crying in Oregon)

Why is this marked “Resolved”? This wasn’t resolved!!! What’s going on here?

I’m sorry, but we didn’t delete anything. Backups are stored on your hosting space only. So this is between you and your hosting provider.
