   I can't access any wordpress blogs, or my own from one pc yet if I use the same internet connection with a netbook, or a pc located elsewhere there are no problems. Everything has been working fine until yesterday when suddenly, all I get is 'connection reset.'

   I've cleared cookies, browser cache etc, av-check, boot scan, boot av check, defraggled, turned off av and firewalls etc. Any ideas?

   Can you reach other websites which are not made in WordPress?

   I'm having exactly the same problem as ne5566. Can't access my own site or random wordpress sites from home wireless or direct line but OK from mobile phone cellular network. What's happening? Other non wordpress sites are perfectly fine.

   Okay, thanks:
   If I type in wordpress.com the page comes up - slowly, however:
   I can't log into my blog - I just get 'connection reset'
   And if I try to open any of the advertised blogs the same happens.

   Have tried alternate browsers. On my netbook using same internet connection there is no problem.

   Spent 9 hours trying to remedy this problem and was up at 3 am fiddling with boot scans. It is clearly a pc error as I can use my netbook to access my blog but that will only do short term. I can access almost nothing of wordpress - this being about the only place I can get to.

   I have searched repeatedly for help on this and am now considering either migrating my 5 blogs to blogger, which would cause an immense amount of work or wiping the pc clean and reloading it - another load of work.

   Very frustrated...

   YOu say its clearly a PC error

   So now you decide to ...

   I have searched repeatedly for help on this and am now considering either migrating my 5 blogs to blogger

   WordPress.com was suffered a large a DDoS attack yesterday.

   self-hosted WordPress (WordPress.org) sites were not affected.

   For WordPress.com support, you are in the wrong place. You need http://en.support.wordpress.com/

   Thanks for the comments 123milliseconds. I as tired and my Blogger blog is running without any problems. And thanks for the link cubecolour but I can't access that either.
