Can't access admin area when pretty permalinks are turned on (1 post)

When I Turn the custom pretty permalinks in wordpress I lose acces to the admin area. Pretty weird. I got another site setup the same way and its working fine.

I just installed a fresh copy of WordPress for a new domain, so nothing is altered/changed or something like that. Just the default installation.

    My setup is:
    windows 2003 server
    IIS6
    PHP version 5.3.19
    MYSQL
    Helicon Tech ISAPI_Rewrite 3 lite: (http://www.helicontech.com/isapi_rewrite/)

The rewrite rule I'm using is:
    # Helicon ISAPI_Rewrite configuration file
    # Version 3.1.0.98

    RewriteBase /
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?p=$1 [NC,L]

This weird behavior happens when I turn on the all other custom options of permalinks instead of the default option. With the default option it works fine. When the predefined or the custom option is turned on i get stuck in a redirect loop and get an error message from the browser that i cannot fulfill the request as its stuck in a never ending loop.

Any ideas on how to solve this?
