   Below is the error i receive when uploading a theme. i do not understand why it is doing this as i am uploading a zip file as requested. any help is very appreciated...

   You've either downloaded some incomplete themes or you're not uploading them correctly.

   what is the appropriate way to upload them as i downloaded the zip and used the upload feature in wordpress

   choose ftp

   download plugin, unzip into wp-content/plugins
   download theme, unzip into wp-content/themes

   then upload and activate if you wish to do so.

   this way should always work.
