First of all, thanks in advance for any good advice !

    Problem description :
Fresh WP 2.8.4.PL instalation on service provider platform.
Page settled up properly, the only one problem is to upload any media via WP-menu. Any pictures loaded by flash or html plugin are not placed - the answer of WP is : LACK OF TEMPORARY FOLDER. Even if I place any file by FTP seems to be not visable at all in media library.
I have changed chmod on 755 even /wp-content/uploads on 777 - no positive results. I guess it is related to service provider, or not...
What I am doing wrong ? what / where is temporary folder for ?

    regards
    Peter

I'd like to add I was carefully checked sticky topic
Anyone have an idea how to solve it ?
    thanks in advance

  3. It's a server config issue. I think, based on this and this you need to tweak your vhost config or php.ini.

    Start here: http://www.dwightjack.com/diary/2009/01/04/fixing-missing-a-temporary-folder-error-on-wordpress-27-uploader/

(and you may need help from your ISP)
