Although I can create and upload posts correctly, I cannot upload images, themes or plugins to the wp-content directory. I can do all of these with WISE-FTP, but not via the WP Dashboard. When I try to upload a theme, the with the ftp address "ftp.straylight.it", I get the comment "Unable to locate WordPress Content directory (wp-content)"
Is this because of the directory structure on my ISP's server. When I use WISE-FTP with http://ftp.straylight.it, I get to a top level directory with three sub-directories like this
/
- straylight.it
- straylight.it_Backup_Daily
- straylight.it_Backup_Weekly
I then have to navigate down to the straylight.it directory to upload stuff.
Is there some global setting in a config file I need to use to tell the WP Dashboard that the wp-content directory is under straylight.it and not in the root as accessed by the ftp address.
Many thanks for any suggestions.
