   Hi

   I'm running WordPress 2.9.2

   I use wp-automatic upgrade plugin to upgrade usually. However on running the upgrade this time, I was told my version of MySQL is out of date. This is the message I received:

   You cannot upgrade because WordPress 2.9.2 requires MySQL version 4.1.2 or higher. You are running version 4.0.30.

   I have asked my host to upgrade to MySQL but this would involve losing my database. I need to get in to WordPress admin to export the WP database content. However, if I try to login I am constantly redirecited to this page:

   http://ianapplegate.co.uk/wordpress/wp-admin/upgrade.php?_wp_http_referer=/wordpress/wp-admin/

   Any clues on how to get into my admin area? I've tried deleting the plugin but no luck.

   There's quite a lot on importing WP just using the database - you might have to backup the database using PHPmyAdmin or whatever and then do that if all else fails.
