Whenever i login to my dashboard, i see this message at the top:

"An automated WordPress update has failed to complete - please attempt the update again now."

ok. i try to update it by clicking "re-install", but when i do so, the update won't update. Sometimes it gets stucked at the first stage (unpacking the update) and sometimes it gets stucked elsewhere...

however, when i go to the "updates"-section on my dashboard, it says:

"You have the latest version of WordPress.

You have the latest version of WordPress. You do not need to update. However, if you want to re-install version 3.2.1, you can do so automatically or download the package and re-install manually:"

but at the top it still says:

"An automated WordPress update has failed to complete - please attempt the update again now."

    HOW do i fix this?

Not only that, but my site is extremely SLOW (shookiemonster.com) - even after i have disabled ALL my plugins...

Is it really my host that is THIS slow, huh?

    Try:
    - switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme's folder in wp-content/themes and adding "-old" to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    - resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    - re-uploading all files & folders - except the wp-content folder - from a fresh download of WordPress.

    - upgrading manually
