   I created the parent categories first, then got started on the child cats. But I cannot select a parent category for them.

   I enter the child cat name. The next line says:

   Category parent: None (Change)

   I click on change and in the box below comes:

   ID Name Description Action
   No categories found.

   I also tried creating the child cats, then going to edit to try to select a parent. That gets the same result as above.

   I just can't figure this out. Can someone help?

   Disable the 'Category Overload'-plugin and everything should work out just fine.

   OMG, THANK YOU. I have a huge number of categories and suddenly all of the category admin edit screens were blank. The form was there but the fields for category name, slug and parent were all empty. I about had a heart attack. This was, indeed, the fix. I hadn't had to edit a category since loading that plugin awhile back and had forgotten about it. Thanks again for the info.
