I cannot change a post's author. The dropdown box to do this doesn't exist for me, either in the quick edit view or the full edit view. My login has full administrator privileges and I made a new administrator level login to check if that would work, but it doesn't. If I edit another author's previously made post under my login, it sets it to the login I was using when I edited it.
What can I do to fix this??

I'm sorry, I should have noted in my original post that I tried that one already too. Thanks for the idea though.
Other ideas?
Some plugin conflict?

OK, this is embarrassing, but it turned out that when the import script brought over our entries from Typepad, all of the users were preserved but their role was set to "subscriber". Thus, Admin was the only author left. And I didn't notice that at first. Stupidity FTW!
