• Hi,

I have downloaded the latest version of jetpack on my wordpress 3.5.1 for my self hosted blog. I want to use the jetpack comments, but I don’t see an option to “Activate” it. From going through these forums, I have gathered I need to connect the JetPack plugin to my wordpress.com account. However, I do not see the option to connect to my wordpress.com account when I activate JetPack on my self hosted blog (currently running on localhost)

I have tried deactivating and reactivating JetPack.

Has anybody else faced this issue? Any solution? It’s really frustrating. I’m sure I am missing something but it seems like the “connect” option is given on activating the plugin – but I can’t see it. Would really appreciate some help/tips.

    Thanks

Jetpack should include a box allowing you to connect to your WordPress.com and activate all Jetpack modules.
Some themes, however, hide all WordPress alerts and notices in the dashboard. That could explain why you do not see the Connection box in your dashboard.

Could you switch to a different theme for a few minutes, or install this small plugin to force the display of the dashboard notices?

Let me know if this helps.
