Cannot redirect WWW to No-WWW (1 post)

    Hi all,

    I have just started setting up a new site, which by default uses the NO-WWW address wordpress assigned on install. I need to force a redirect of all WWW traffic to the NO-WWW address, as the www. address doesn't display a custom font from the theme I'm using (I don't know why this would be).

    In my Dashboard 'General settings' both site address and wordpress address are set to the NO-WWW address. However, some sites I am signed up to force the www. on click-through, which is incorrectly taking visitors to a broken version of the site.

    I'm trying to redirect using .htaccess but after showing hidden files in my ftp client, I couldn't find any .htaccess file, so I've made one with the following code and placed it in the site root;

    # BEGIN WordPress

    <IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^peetlee\.com$ [NC]
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://peetlee.com/$1 [R=301,L]
    </IfModule>

    # END WordPress

    This does not seem to work either, though, and I've run out of things to google on how to get it to only visit the NO-WWW site.
