   if that's the case then why am I getting this error when trying to activate:

   Fatal error: Cannot redeclare get_currentuserinfo() (previously declared in /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/tisch/web/wordpress/wp-includes/pluggable.php:41) in /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/tisch/web/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/symfony-login.php on line 30

   I see, the functions in the plugin have to wrapped: http://codex.wordpress.org/Pluggable_Functions
