I lost sitemap page while editing.
    What I tried
I have tried changing from blogtxt theme to plaintxtblog theme.
I updated installation after deleting previous folders entire wordpress2.9.2.
    I checked chmod
I deleted and reinstalled blogtxt theme.

I have not the faintest idea of how to get back sitemap page.
Other page, which is the homepage displays fine.
Thanks in advance for your quick guidance.

Try uploading a fresh copy of your theme.

    hi esmi,

The website shows no change on

uploading a fresh copy of your theme.

Of the two pages I have
one is now homepage and the other is sitemap page.

Previously I edited both these pages. The ASK DOCTOR homepage retains all changes despite installing fresh theme and the sitemap page that disappeared in the process of editing is not displayed.

I did a fresh update install of WP 4.9.2 so that wp-settings, wp-config, index can be restored. This too has not worked.

Spent many days trying to figure out.
    Kindly guide,
    Thanks in anticipation.

Does the sitemap page use a custom template file? Can you see a Page Template dropdown when you edit that page?

    Custom Template file
    Scott Alan Wallick's blog.txt theme
    has separate sitemap.php
    other than page.php, index.php,header.php along with print.css and style.css.
    /*
    Template Name: Sitemap Page
    */
    The sitemap.php has

    1. all-pages
    2. all-posts
    3. monthly-archives
    4. category-archives including
    5. tag_cloud

While editing I was trying to use flooble java dropdown menu to contain the long flowing lists.
Here at some point I messed up and the page is displayed as SITEMAP when I click, but is bereft of any content.

I hope this info will be some help. I cannot write css php. My knowledge of css and php is restricted to copy cut and paste.

    Awaiting your reply.
    Regards,
    Dr. Ashok Koparday

Did you try downloading a fresh copy of the theme and uploading the sitemap.php template file to the theme's folder on your server?

Yes I did that with Filezilla.
I checked chmod. I checked it was the same template as the original sitemap.php.
    Just as there is
<?php get_sidebar() ?>, which calls the sidebar is there some php that uploads sitemap.php?
Should I be checking wp-settings or what? Don't know.

    Regards

Have you applied the site map template file to the relevant page?

    what does that mean?
site map template is different from page.php

    In the blog.txt
    Theme php files are
    404
    archive
    archives
    attachment
    comments
    footer
    function
    header
    image
    index
    page
    search
    sidebar
    single
    sitemap
    css files are
    style and print
    Folders are
    images and layouts folder
Author Scott Allan Wallick's other files in the theme are:
    blogtxt.ppt
    readme.html
    screenshot.png
    license.txt

    Please tell.

You may need to create & publish a Page and apply the sitemap template via the Page Template dropdown to that new page.
