I have WordPress 2.2.1 installed on my host and tried to upload an image to my latest draft post. It failed with no error msg (the image upload area on the page went blank). I then tried to save and publish my post. Neither action could be accomplished (whole screen when blank on submission). Now I cannot save edits to this draft post in any way.
Any idea what's gone wrong? Maybe a db error?

Has it worked before with no problem? Whats a link to your site?
Have you deactivated all plugins and tried? Also try on default theme.
One thing to consider is that you are using a terribly outdated WP installation. If you try to install any newer plugins that may cause issue. Also, your WP installation is very vulnerable to being hacked with such an outdated version. Many people lately are getting hacked, and when that happens, no telling what things can go wrong with your site

yes, over a 100 posts previously. no change to the installed plugins - worked fine before and appear to work fine now.
