I was running 2.1.2 and had several issues upgrading to 2.3.2. I lost my categories etc, etc.
I finally converted my database to UTF-8 with the plugin and everything is fine except-- I can not write a page or a post.
It won't save and continue edit, save, or publish. Whatever I was working on just disappears.
the site works alright from the outside just the admin is dead.

OK, back to normal. I had to get rid of Bad-Behavior plugin.
You shouldn't have to, 'cos I'm running WP 2.3.3 with Bad Behavior (2.0.11) right now, and can still post.

I just tried removing bad behavior and it didn't help.
I am sure it has something to do with changing the characters in the Database but fixing that is way beyond me. I may have to just revert back to my 2.1.2 and forget about all the new bells and whistles that come down the pike.
Did you visit the upgrade.php to do your database upgrade?

I did that but to no avail.
Everything on the site works, comments, categories, etc. I just can't post.
This is beyond frustrating.

By that do you mean that the upgrade worked fine (no error messages) but you can't post OR that the upgrade didn't work right.

When I upgraded I lost my categories. I then went back to the older version I had backed up. I used the UTF db Converter plugin and tried again. The categories came back but I couldn't post.
I then went back to my server backup of the 2.1.2 version but still couldn't post. I must have broken the db.
