Hi @zoe88,
I just wanted to clarify something:
Is your site configured as multi-site?
Did you activate any of the firewall rules and if so which ones?
A username and password are being requested by http://XXXX.com. The site says: “This is human verification, for username type in username for password type in the result of 2+4=”
The above message is definitely not coming from the AIOWPS plugin. Do you have some other plugin installed which may be doing this?
We are currently investigating the multi-site functionality of AIOWPS but any more information you can provide us will be helpful too.
Not sure if this is related.
I went to login to my website, http://www.appliedpermaculturedesign.com.au When I enter the password to take me to the wp login, it goes no where… loads back to the website without logging in.
My host indicated that it has something to do with “all in one WP Security plus firewall”… and “whitelisted IP address”?
Since being at my site, I have had a malware issue which is now resolved. In the process, we uninstalled Chrome and the Symantec/Norton 360.
I have also been using Pagelines Plus framework and they have done the major upgrade to DMS since then… could be an issue?
Do any of these comments ring a bell for anyone? I do not know where to go on this one. Would appreciate assistance very much…
@planetplus,
Which firewall rules have you currently got active from the AIOWPS plugin?
When I enter the password to take me to the wp login, it goes no where
Are you referring to the secret word (from the brute force prevention feature) which you type into the URL address?
Please see the following link for more info about how to use the brute force prevention feature:

Also if you want to restore your htaccess file back to the original, that’s fairly easy to do by following the tutorial here:
http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/how-to-restore-the-htaccess-file-when-using-the-all-in-one-wp-security-plugin-5945
Yes, I was referring to the secret word.
Thank you wpsolutions! I restored the htaccess file and all is fine. When I got to the dashboard I found AIOWPS was not activated for some reason. It seems I had deactivated it when looking for another problem related to installing and using wpmudev e-Newsletter. Am I to presume that deactivating AIOWPS created my problem?
I have experienced a lock out and had to disable to plugin via FTP by changing the folder name. After that I was able to login, rename the folder to its proper name and activate it. The message I was getting said that my IP was banned. After a few trial and error attempts, I traced it to the spambot protection. I disabled that and I can not login normally. However, I am writing this as a bug report and hope that I can use that feature again in the future.
Thanks,
Cemal
I should add the previous post that my site is running on Windows IIS and I could not use some of the features of the AIO Security and Firewall. There are other plugins and functionality that seem to require a Linux server, maybe one of these days I will have enough courage to migrate my site to that environment. The main thing I wanted to add is the site being on IIS.
