Cannot log in to my blog (19 posts)

    I just downloaded wordpress and was emailed my log-in and password, but when I go to the page, enter my information, and click "log in," the page just refreshes to a blank log-in page again. Then I tried pretending I forgot my password, and when I entered my email, it told me I don't exist. Please help! I'm very new to this, not very tech-savvy, and already frustrated that I can't even get INTO my blog to start setting it up.

    URL please. Do you know how to get to your database? You can correct the log-in and password there if necessary.

    It's hotfunfitness.com. I guess I'm not sure about how to get to my database. And I signed up with bluehost and downloaded wordpress through there, with simple scripts. Is there something else I should have done?

    Looks like you have got wordpress installed but for some reason you do not have the style displaying the way it should do.

    Have you tried to log in using
    http://hotfunfitness.com/wp-admin
    if you can log in then click on Appearance and Themes see if what you what themes you have.

    Try and switch to twenty ten theme

    That's exactly where I try to log in from, and that's where it's not working.

    Now it's also not displaying the page normally, both the log-in page and my blog itself. And it still just refreshes to a blank log-in page. Can I maybe uninstall wordpress and retry it?? Would that work? I can't understand why it's not letting me log in...

    If you have time, yes, uninstall and reinstall WP again. Your install was incomplete. If WP is a service offered through your host, they might be setup to assist your also.

    You are using the Twenty Ten theme. When you log into BlueHost, that should take you to an area where you can look at files (file manager), set up FTP (which is for moving files from your computer to the server your blog is on), etc.

    I'm so lost. I tried uninstalling and re-installing a couple times and it still never worked. I'm unable to skype right now...is there any way of posting or emailing me instructions? I'm so frustrated that I can't even START my blog. Is there perhaps a way that someone at wordpress can get in and see what's wrong and fix it???

    <frameset rows="100%,*" border="0">
      <frame src="http://66.147.244.185/~hotfunfi/" frameborder="0" />
      <frame frameborder="0" noresize />
    </frameset>

    Hi. @govpatel, please excuse my frantic help cries on social media, haha, I'm just trying everything I can.

    To be honest, I have no idea what that source code means or where it would have come from. I did ocntact bluehost in the meantime, just to see if they had anything to say, and they told me my nameservers were incorrect. So as of this morning, I put in the nameservers they gave me, and I'm supposed to give it 48-72 hours to take full effect. If that doesn't work, I shall immediately send you a skype request.

    Thank you for sticking with me!

    The code govpatel mentioned looks like the temporary URL. If your site is setup on the temporary URL, then your css will not work when it is accessed directly from the domain.

    You can change that URL by logging into your dashboard at http://66.147.244.185/~hotfunfi/wp-admin

    Then go to Settings > General

    Put your actual URL with your domain name in both fields and save.
