Cannot link to Pages

    Hi
    I’m new to WordPress and am having some difficulty.
    I created a static page and stipulated the front page
    I then dragged the widget “pages” to the sidebar
    I created a new page and published
    Now when I view the site, put my curser over the new page, I see the the full URL. However when I click on the link, I get a error 404 “page not found on this server”

    What am I doing wrong?

    It’s likely that you have changed the permalink structure, but WordPress couldn’t update .htaccess automatically. You should change it manually by doing copy-paste from the code that’s generated from WordPress permalink admin page. The .htaccess file should reside inside your WordPress installation directory.
