   hi,

   i'm having problems in installing wordpress in localhost. i am using xampp, i already configured the wp-config.php with the right settings. but i manually add the database for wordpress in mysql using phpmyadming. what's wrong with the installation?

   I am afraid that's not enough info to enable us to tell "what's wrong".

   I hope the order described above is not the real one:
   1. editing wp-config
   2. creating the database

   It should go the other way around: otherwise you don't know what to put in the wp-config file :)

   Hey,

   I have installed exactly like tutorial says, but I have winxp pro on my system. How to remove IIS, cant find it in services?
