I thought that WordPress had an audio player feature built in, since I've seen that player on so many websites. I thought that all I had to do was enter [audio http://something.com/something.mp3] Well this didn't work for me, for files I uploaded to WordPress or for files hosted elsewhere.
So then I tried installing this plugin, but it failed to install, saying "The plugin does not have a valid header."
I just want that simple embedded WordPress player that so many people use. I thought it was part of WordPress.
Have you tried [audio:http://someting.com/something.mp3] ?

Hi,
Make sure that you have added require MIME Types on your hosting account in order to work it perfectly.
Thanks,

Shane, what do you mean? I said I tried embedding files from other places and from my WordPress uploads. I followed the WordPress instructions exactly. I don't need to mess with Dreamhost, right? I tried both my files and files from elsewhere, and every file I tried doesn't work. I doubt there's a problem with hosting.
Oh, so you're trying to install the plugin via wordpress?
Just copy the Audio Player 2.0 plugin folder to /wp-content/plugins and then go into your WP and activate it. :D
