Though I have a fair amt of experience with phpBB, I have no previous experience with a blog program. I just loaded WordPress 2.3, and did the database upgrade (since web host was supporting the earlier version). I had briefly experimented with the earlier version, and when I loaded that program I got the opening page with the blue kubrick panel at top. Now I just get type. But more important, I see no way to get to an "admin panel" (or do anything else, for that matter). I have absolutely no idea what to do next, and the doc doesn't help because the features called out are nowhere to be seen. What am I missing here?

Assuming the wp-content folder (among others) is in your web-root folder, you should get a login by browsing to http://www.sample.com/wp-login.php
