[resolved] Cannot drag menu items in menu setup (9 posts)

I created a menu, saved it, and added items to it. When I hover over an item, the pointer turns into a four-direction arrow, but I cannot drag the item.

In Firefox, the four-direction arrow just slides off the item without dragging it. In Chrome, when I click, the four-direction arrow turns into an I beam and starts to select text and other items as I drag. (Please don't ask me to try IE :)

My Page/category/Link Order plugins work just fine.

    Any suggestions.

    Have you tried:

    - deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    - switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

    - resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    - re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress?

    - increasing the available memory?

Thank you esmi. Deactivating all plugings solved the problem. I'm ashamed of myself for not trying that. When I find the bugger, I'll report back.

Thank you. Reporting back on problem plugins all goes to help other users.

And the winner (or is that looser) is:

Of my 34 plugins, iredlof-ajax-login-plugin is the one that was causing the problem. I have reported this in the Extend > Plugins and Plugins and Hacks sections of this site.

esmi, thanks again for your help.

For me it was Easy ToolBox.

For me it was CollabPress. Apparently it's a JQuery issue with some plugins.
