Cannot download plugins

    Hi,

    I just installed WordPress. Now am trying to add some plugins lie W3 Cache. When I go to add the plugins, I must enter my ftp server information. I do that but then I receive an error: “Failed to connect to FTP Server mydomain.com:21”.

    I noticed when I first got on my dashboard, I also had an error that jetpack could not work.

    Any thoughts on what I can do? I believe I am using the correct login information becuase I am able to access Filezilla with the same information.

    HI all,

    I had moved my wp-content folder to a different server folder for security (or at least I thought I did). I just moved it back to its original location and I can now access the plugins again and am not getting the error message.

    I guess I need to stick to the basics!
