   Hi everyone,

   I am using WordPress 2.8.x and have a problem with one category I can no longer delete, the box before the category in Manage Categories > List is no longer there, and when I hover over this category, I only have options "edit'" and "quick edit", no delete as in all my other categories.

   Anyone seen this before?

   Is this the only category you currently have? If so, you can't delete it by design. WordPress needs at least 1 category to remain in existence. Doesn't mean you have to use it, though.

   Hi thanks for reply but no, it is not the only one category I
   have quite a big structure of categories with children and 'grandchildren'.
