[resolved] Cannot Center Twenty Fourteen Top Menu (9 posts)

    I'm trying to center the top menu of the Twenty Fourteen theme but have no luck..

    I've centered the whole site but can't get the menu centered, any ideas??

    Are you using a child theme or a custom CSS plugin?

    and I have these horrible grey boardering left and right side of my site, about 100px wide on each side!!

    The "grey color" you mention is the body background color. If you wanted that black to match your content area color scheme you could change your background color via Appearance > Customize > Colors > Background color -> set to #000.

    I still cannot figure out how to center the main menu though.. Frustrating me!

    A method... you could edit your CSS code with the following change and addition:

    .primary-navigation {
      float: none; /* change from float right */
      text-align: center; /* addition to center text */
    }
