From my wordpress installation I am missing the widgets administration area - if I type the address I get non sufficient rights (widgets still show fine on the site though) and the Users page (if I try to go to it I get a CheatinUh?).
Else everything is okay. I can create new admin users and so on, but somehow for the widgets and Users page, wordpress thinks I am not an admin.
Disabling theme and plugins did not help. Also not using the old database with a fresh wordpress installation.
What can be wrong in the database for such a problem?
I would really need to edit the widgets....
try automatically reinstalling wordpress or updating

Did that a couple of times. Instead of users I simply see a profile menu. - did not write that down clearly....

Oh, I just think there maybe one reason. When updating from 2.9 to 3.0 I had some database problems. Therefore I simply set the wordpress version value to the new value, but no real database upgrade happend.
Is there a way (without downgrading to 2.9 and reupgrading - because I do fear something like this will introduce even more bugs) to redo the database upgrade?
Maybe some rights are not there due to this problem?

Okay solved it by setting db_version to 2.9.2 (12329) in phpmyadmin and then clicking onto upgrade database when logging back in into wp-admin...
