I posted this in the installation forum, then realized this is the more appropriate area. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi there,

I'm super novice at this so please take it easy on me.

I have Godaddy hosting, and I originally installed WP through the Godaddy site. I was in my WP Dashboard and noticed I had a few updates, one of which was a new version of WP. After installation, it won't allow me into the dashboard anymore. I can log in and out, but I can't access any page other than the blog page itself. I notice that anytime I attempt to access another page, it automatically redirects to this link:

    http://ragtagstudio.com/devblog/wp-admin/upgrade.php/?_wp_http_referer=%2Fdevblog%2Fwp-admin%2F

Seems like the upgrade didn't complete or something. Anyone have any advice? I'd really appreciate it.

    Chris

I have the EXACT same issue today. I accidentally updated wordpress inside of there, instead of through my GoDaddy hosting panel, and now when I log in, it takes me to my blog on a page that says "Not Found". I've tried clearing the cache & cookies
I've tried uninstalling the plugin file in the FTP server
I've tried changing the end of the url to just mydomain/wp-admin and also to wp-admin.php

Nothing has worked. When I go back to the blog, it says "edit" next to post titles like I'm signed in, but when I click them, it only takes me to that "Not Found" page with the url: http://basinbride.com/wp-admin/upgrade.php?_wp_http_referer=%2Fwp-admin%2F

I can't get in to any sort of dashboard though :( HELP!!!!

Edit to add: After I couldn't sign in, I signed into my GoDaddy Hosting panel and it said I had a wordpress update, so I did that update as well...and still no resolution.

UPDATE: I just called GoDaddy's support line and explained what was happening. After a bunch of testing, they figured out how to fix it, and got me up and going again (I <3 GD Support!).

Call them, and they should be able to fix ya ;)

    Hi Lacy,

It sounds like the cause of our problem was the same, but the result wasn't. I never had the "Not Found" issue, I just can't get into my dashboard at all. I can even log in and out, but other than that can't access any page other than the blog itself.

I did call GoDaddy yesterday, they had me rename my plugins directory, but that didn't change anything. After trying a few more things to no avail, they said the only thing they could do was charge me $150 for the super emergency backup plan, which would involve reverting back to the older version of WP, and I'm certainly not willing to pay that much.

The frustrating thing about this problem is that a lot of people are having problems with the upgrade, but I have yet to see two of them that are the same problem.

Hopefully someone will see this that has had my same issue. I believe the upgrade wasn't completed, because as you can see from the link I posted above, its constantly trying to go to upgrade.php

    Anyway, thanks for your contribution!
