Cancel Payment from Stripe

    We integrate Stripe with paid membership pro and it all work very well now. I have a question if a subscriber cancel his recurring payment from Stripe (or his credit card not work anymore).

    Can we:
    1. Receive notices about someone cancel the membership
    2. Automatically remove that member from the member list (so he cannot access to the member only content)

    I asked Stripe the same question but they ask me to use “Webhook”. Do I need to do anything on it? Thank you

    Yes, if the user is cancelled at Stripe, their membership will also be cancelled in PMPro as long as the webhook is setup correctly.

    You can add webhooks in your Stripe dashboard. Navigate to Your Account > Account Settings > Webhooks and add the URL you find at the bottom of the Memberships > Payment Settings page in the WordPress admin. That is your webhook handler URL which PMPro uses to handle recurring payments, etc.

    Thank you! I checked Stripe’s Webhook setting and found that we already set up before. So I think it should be fine. Thank you 🙂
